“absolutely adore the photos and the ones I thought I wanted don’t seem as important as some of the others you’ve got! So so chuffed…”

- Bec & baby T

Those hazy newborn days are so precious. Welcoming a new dinky human into your world is absolutely life changing. Those first few weeks can seem so very long, hello sleep deprivation, but also will be the fastest few weeks of your life.

Those teeny tiny toes and their fingernails, their little hands and wrinkly feet.

The little swirl of hair on the back of their head. Their button nose.

And all of this changes so fast.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to have those tiny newborn details captured forever, for you to look back on whenever you get that pang in your chest for those tiny baby days again? I’d love to do that for you.

The price of a newborn session is £250

This includes;

  • A telephone consultation before your shoot to allow me to find out more about your family and discuss the finer details of the day.

  • Up to 2 hours of shooting either at home or at a location of your choice*.

  • Five 5x7” prints of your choice plus matching digitals for you to download.

  • A private online gallery for you to view all the images from your shoot and decide which you would like as prints.

* Please note that any shoots that require me to travel more than 20 miles from Wakefield, WF3 will incur travel expenses. Some locations may not be suitable for a shoot but we can discuss this at our telephone consultation.

There is the option to upgrade your package after the shoot to include more prints and digitals, and other products are also available to purchase as add ons.

Price lists are all sent to you when you book but if you’d like to see a price list for the products before you decide to book, I will happily send them over to you.

Payment plans are also available.

What to expect from a newborn shoot.

At the shoot

Your newborn session can be at home or on location and we will arrange it for a time that is best for you and baby.

I’ll arrive and then we totally follow your little ones lead. If they need to be held for the whole session, that’s fine.

If they need nappy changes and feeding, also fine.

Equally if mum needs a break too, that’s not a problem at all.

Mum and baby are the priority.

Your shoot is 2 hours long, enough time to capture everything without rushing around.

There is no need to do anything special at all.

After the shoot

Once your shoot is over I will get your photos back to you within 4 weeks.

Your photos will be put into an online gallery for you to view.

You can then choose from the gallery which five photos you would like as your prints and downloads.

You can download your images from the gallery whenever you have decided and then I will order the matching prints for you.

Prints & Digitals

If you decide you’d like more than the five prints & digitals that are included in your package, you can upgrade to a bigger package or buy extras individually.

You will have the price list in advance so no nasty surprises and I never try to hard sell to you.

If you’d like to see the prices before you book I can send you it over right now, just ask!

I also offer other products like albums and wall art should you want something extra or as a gift for grandparents.

FAQ’s

Should I book my shoot before my baby is born?

I highly recommend booking as early as possible. Obviously babies don’t always arrive when expected so if you book in before baby is here it means I can leave some wiggle room in my diary to make sure I can accommodate your session before they get too big, and then we can just confirm a date for the shoot once they have arrived. I only ever book 4 newborn sessions a month so that I have enough wiggle room for everyone, so it’s better to book as soon as you know you want a shoot with me.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date. This will be deducted from the session fee, which is due a week before the session.

Do you offer payment plans?

I do! I can offer payment plans to suit you and your needs. Please get in touch for more details.

Can I rearrange my shoot?

If you have booked an outdoor shoot and the weather is absolutely rubbish, for example it’s chucking it down or freezing cold, we will of course rearrange your shoot. However, most other weather types will not be a problem. I keep my eyes on the weather so will discuss this with you when it’s getting close to the day if I think it will be a problem. If it’s an at home shoot most sessions are fine to go ahead no matter what the weather throws at us.

Likewise, if someone is ill and we need to postpone that’s also absolutely fine, but I do ask for at least 24hours notice for this, although I know sometimes that isn’t always possible.

Likewise if I am ill, I will reschedule our shoot at no extra cost to you. Nobody wants unnecessary germs around a tiny newborn.

Can other family members be in the photos?

Of course! However if there are more than 5 of you I will need to book out a longer session for this and there will be an increase in the shoot fee.
